Having auditioned for Africa's Next Top Model Cycle 1,Opeyemi was chosen alongside 11 other girls from all over Africa to compete .7 countries were visited for scouting(Kenya,Tanzania,Mozambique, South Africa,Nigeria,Ghana and Angola).
9 girls were eliminated in 8 weeks by the panel of judges after different challenges.
Three girls remained in the house Aamito(Uganda), Opeyemi(Nigeria) and Michaels(Angola). The 3 headed to New York to battle it out.
In the end,Aamito from Uganda was the chosen one.
Africa's Next Top Model has given Opeyemi Awoyemi the platform for a fantastic international career and also being the only Nigerian to make it to the finals gave her so much attention from Nigeria.
